Two day workshop aboard a classic 1940′s boat!
Lunch and Refreshments included a unique experience not to be missed!
With Kirstin Jones and Priscilla Jones
10.00am – 5.00pm
Meet 10am at Bushnells Marina, Wargrave for fresh coffee and croissants. Sketchbooks and materials given out, short trip upstream to moor on an island on deck (sun possibly also provided!) sketching and collecting ideas on the island.
11am Kirsten leads session on recording the day, sketching and painting from upper deck as we move slowly downstream through the lock towards Henley. 1pm moor on the riverside just beyond Henley for barbecue, more sketching and a glass of wine or two. 2pm riverside art sessions collecting objects, inspiration, collage. 4pm tea and coffee review of the day. Lift back to the boatyard in car. 5pm depart 10am park up and meet at the boat in Henley for coffee and croissants. Discuss art plan for the day.11am Walk to the studio, discuss ideas. All materials are provided, collage sessions with Kirsten and Priscilla to create a hanging or painted canvas/ board over the course of the day.
1pm lunch, glass of wine.
2pm create artworks, sessions led by Kirsten and Priscilla
4.30pm review and home with final pieces
5pm depart with art works!
Price including croissants coffee, lunch with wine !

Priscilla has been producing contemporary stitched mixed media pieces in 2D and 3D since completing her degree in Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University in 1997.Priscilla draws her inspiration from a variety of sources exploring the concept of identity, memory and nostalgia. These themes underpin a range of areas within her work including freelance designs for greeting cards, fashion/interior fabrics and wallpaper exporting to Japan, Europe and the U.S.A. Priscilla is continuously exhibiting across the U.K. and lectures at East Lancashire Institute of Higher Education on the BA (Hons) Contemporary Textiles programme. In 2003 Priscilla and her husband Ian set up The Edge Gallery in Lancaster specializing in Contemporary Fine and Applied Art, recently they expanded the Gallery space to run a programme of Priscilla’s workshops.
