Wednesdays 13th/20th/ 27th May & 3rd June 2015

Explore the endless possibilities of paper, wire and stitch! You will learn how to colour, paint and wax different papers creating a variety of grounds using inks, dyes and pigments. You will experiment with wire, stitch and heat techniques to create a variety of textured surfaces. The aim of this course is to explore lots of possibilities and is for anyone who wants to push the boundaries and beyond.

Vintage Inspired Workshops with Vintage Revival at Country Fest 2015


Vintage Paper Bunting 10.30-11.30am

Use pretty vintage inspire papers to create stunning mini garlands of bunting. You can use your old scrap papers, fabrics and found materials to create strands of loveliness to grace your windows.


Cotton Reel Flowers 11.45-12.45pm

You will create dainty flowers using wire, fabric and paper, this a great way to use all those old wooden cotton reels that we just can’t throw away. You can decorate them however you wish using trimmings, buttons and hand-stitch.


Journal Making 2-3pm

An introduction to the art of journal making using found papers and ephemera.
You will explore the possibilities of creating lovely small and beautifully crafted books using a variety of papers!

All workshops cost £12 each if booking on the day or book in advance and get each one for just £10 ‘what a fantastic offer’

Using various fabrics, acrylic paints and machine stitch you will create a contemporary box canvas for your wall. During the day you will explore a range of techniques to enable you to produce a finished piece that is personal and will reflect your own ideas. This is fantastic workshop for anyone who would like to explore a mixed media approach to stitched textiles, no experience necessary just bring enthusiasm.

Please bring a sewing machine that has a free stitch facility to the workshop,

Priscilla creates sculptures that draw upon her life long love affair with here vast collections of odd an curious objects. During this two day workshop, Priscilla Jones will share with you the creative techniques developed through her experimentation and process of making. You will make your very own 3D sculpture inspired by whatever theme you wish… using wire, wax, and found ephemera. You will learn a range of processes including how to construct a wire structure that can be in 3D or 2D using light weight wire and then work into this by creating a surface to hand stitch and embellish with paper, buttons, beads and trimmings. Materials will be provided all you need bring is enthusiasm and some found objects or materials from your own collecting. This is a perfect opportunity to develop ideas you may have started in previous workshops with Priscilla or you may wish to come along and learn a range of new and exciting techniques!
