Explore the possibilities of making wire cutlery from fabric, wire and wax. During the workshop you will create lots of different shapes from light weight wire that can easily be manipulated with your fingers tips. They can be decorated however you wish using trimmings, buttons and hand-stitch.

All abilities welcome and materials provided just bring enthusiasm!

You will create dainty flowers using wire, fabric and paper, this a great way to use all those old wooden cotton reels that we just can’t throw away. They can be decorated however you wish using trimmings, buttons and hand-stitch. All abilities welcome and materials provided (except cotton reel).

Using various fabrics, acrylic paints and machine stitch you will create a contemporary box canvas for your wall. During the day you will explore a range of techniques to enable you to produce a finished piece that is personal and will reflect your own ideas. This is fantastic workshop for anyone who would like to explore a mixed media approach to stitched textiles, no experience necessary just bring enthusiasm. Please bring a sewing machine that has a free stitch facility to the workshop.

Vintage Inspired Bobbin Brooch Workshops with Textile Artist Priscilla Jones

Yay!!! Great news everyone I’ve been invited to run drop in workshops at this years Vintage by the Sea at The Midland Hotel in beautiful Morecambe check out http://www.vintagefestival.co.uk

Join Priscilla and make your very own vintage inspired brooch from wonderful wooden cotton reels! You can embellish them with lovely floral fabrics, old linen and lace, ribbon, buttons or beads.

All materials provided and no previous skills necessary all you need to bring along is your enthusiasm for vintage!

The cost of joining is just £5 per person and the workshops run all day from 11am so just drop by and join in.

Each workshop will take about 45-60 minutes.

Create several different projects, all with a different technique, but with a vintage theme. We will use vintage inspired papers to create stunning mini garlands of bunting. Then create dainty flowers using wire, fabric and wax. Finally we will end the day creating lovely small and beautifully crafted books using found papers and ephemera.
