I will be exhibiting at the very first Selvedge Fair to be held in Lancashire at the beautiful Pendle Heritage Centre.
The team behind the cult magazine Selvedge is bringing a curated collection of merchants and makers to Pendle. The fair offers an opportunity to meet makers, catch up with friends and find that special something. It is part of Fabrications, a festival celebrating textiles in contemporary art. It will feature large-scale installations, exhibitions, residencies and a symposium. http://www.superslowway.org.uk

I’m delighted to be taking part in this fabulous fair!!!
It’s an independently curated event offering designers, makers, performers and vintage traders the opportunity to offer their wares to the world. There will be over 40 stalls with makers selling from all over the UK!
Spend the day learning how to create scrapbooks and journals out of your old fabrics, scrap
paper/card and haberdashery. This is a great way to experiment with techniques such as stitch, collage and surface decoration to make something that is personal to you. Once your range of sheets is complete you start the exciting process of putting your papers and fabrics together and learn how to assemble them into the form of a book. You can make any size of scrap-book you wish and create it for a special purpose either to keep all those important bits and bobs you can never find a place for, perhaps a sketch book, or maybe a photograph album the choice is yours….! No experience necessary just bring enthusiasm.
Explore the possibilities of making wire cutlery from fabric, wire and wax. During the workshop you will create lots of different shapes from light weight wire that can easily be manipulated with your fingers tips. They can be decorated however you wish using trimmings, buttons and hand-stitch.
